    A 185# dressed buck is huge. Certainly more than 45 lbs of meat. Either your buck was smaller than you thought or they shorted you on meat.

    You should get about 40% of the dressed weight back in meat so that is definitely light!

    I got 80lbs from my buck and 60 from my doe.

    Yup, seems light. My dad just got back 75# from his hefty WI 2.5 y/o buck.
