Donnie, you did the right thing, you talked to the person you had the conflict with and resolved it. If he is leaving neck meat on and not taking all the ham meat, well there is a problem, did he give you your inner loins ?

I would suggest you butcher yourself. Its very rewarding and fulfills that circle of the hunt. from kill to grill I handle all my own so I knw what I get, can custom cut my own cuts and know I am not wasting any of God's bounty I have been fortunate enough to harvest

Yea, dude gave you a bad count. This too, shall pass. They get $80-$100 to butcher a deer in my neck of the woods.

That does sound low! I sure hope he didnt do it intentionally. I think it's unlikely he stole your meat. LOL My guess is he may of hacked it up. Did you get it messy when field dressing? Maybe some of the meat was no good? Either way, I'm sorry for ya.

bummer on the meat. He was probably telling you the truth according to him. I hunt in florida and our deer arent know to be monsters. But even though I keep my backstraps myself. I still get usually two full paper bags pretty full. You may have to keep trying processors untill you find one you like . good luck

Yeah...I specifically asked him to keep the inner loins whole and he did. I have butchered deer myself but the process is a pain for me since it takes me a while. I stretch it out over a few days to make the process less painful. :)

If you were in KS I would say bring your deer over to my new butchering shed, no worries about getting shorted around here :tu: I don't think the coyotes like my carcasses compared to other peoples, theres not much left
