I pay $59.95 a month for my Wireless Internet service. What you all pay? I honestly think I'm paying way too much for my slow Internet. My speed test's sucked!!

    $19.99 for DSL-Verizon.

Schultz, I'm assuming your only option was wireless (or do you mean satellite)? Hughesnet and WildBlue (owned by DISH) are absolute ripoffs, but they sort of have a monopoly on the market since usually dial-up is the only alternative.

One great option that a lot of people forget about is getting a Black Berry and tethering it to your computer. If you can get good cell phone service you can get good Internet It's faster than you think. And the nice part about it you can take it anywhere.

    Just a thought.

I think we pay about $150/mo. for cable (including all premium pkgs.)/phone and high speed internet.

I have NO IDEA of how that compares to others.

    Matt,

I have a small dish on my roof that feeds off of another tower 1/2 mile from my place. I'm pretty sure It's called wireless. Here Is the link to the Internet provider I'm with.

Yep, that's wireless. I was just curious. We WOULD have gone that route when I lived with my parents, but we didn't have a clear line of sight to tower for the only provider in the area for wireless. Thus, my parents were left with dial-up or WilldBlue. They went with the latter and couldn't be more dissatisfied. I moved 1.5 miles away, and I have DSL:cool:
