I have never shot what is considered a target bow. I am very interested in shooting 3D and have shot a match with a Z7Xtreme and another with a Helim. my question is what would the average shooter gain by going from say a Helim or Elite Answer to an Apex 7 or Elite Tour. I know A to A and brace height are important - I am just wondering what one could expect to gain ( in accuracy ) by going with what is considered a target or 3D bow.

It's going to be alot more forgiving... meaning all that stuff you do that you don't realize when you let the string go, won't affect your shot as much...

Your gonna need to practice yardage, target bows are slower, meaning, less room for yardage error. Target bows are great, hold steady, large brace heights, and do what they are made to do... but with good practice, you can be generally as good with a regular bow... just depends on how deep you want to get into it.
