Find out. Take this little quiz. I didn't do as well as I had hoped, but I suppose at the same time, it's not that bad either. Internal Combustion Quiz Post your scores: Your result for The Ultimate Internal Combustion Test... The Dealership GuruYou scored 68% Practical, 63% Theory, and 64% Performance! mmm.... I love anything to do with Performance... Your result for The Ultimate Internal Combustion Test ... *Engineer* You scored 72% Practical, 69% Theory, and 50% Performance!
Well-Rounded You scored 58% Practical, 61% Theory, and 64% Performance! Maybe not such a good score... but I could get my Scouts to pass emissions testing.
Ok so I took the test again.... and now Im satisfied... Your result for The Ultimate Internal Combustion Test ... *Major Gearhead* You scored 76% Practical, 72% Theory, and 78% Performance! You are the complete package; you know the scientific fundamentals, and you have put them into practice with not only practical diagnostic and repair knowledge, but a brilliant mind for tuning. You could probably have written my book, 'The Motorcycle Fuel Injection Handbook', yourself. Email me; maybe we will collaborate on something!
Man, it's been a looooong time since I thought about most of that stuff! I was never quite as into performance as some of my friends, but I know enough to be dangerous. That was a tough quiz, that's for sure. Compared to other takers 32/100 You scored 62% on Practical, higher than 32% of your peers. 31/100 You scored 60% on Theory, higher than 31% of your peers. 32/100 You scored 54% on Performance, higher than 32% of your peers.
Meh... Your result for The Ultimate Internal Combustion Test ... The Entrepreneur You scored 64% Practical, 70% Theory, and 73% Performance! You really understand the theory and application of combustion science, and you know how to tune and tweak for top performance. you have enough background in diagnosis and repair to get you by, but you're really all about charging bank to make fire-breathing racing and custom machines that bite way worse than they bark. You're savvy, knowledgeable, and respected in the tuning field. And with good reason. Let me know if you're ever hiring. Yeah. I can see that.
Me too... I think everyone on HNI and BH.com has seen my truck at least 10 times now... Im getting worse than... nvm.
What's wrong with posting pictures of trucks?? I don't have kids so I mostly I show off pictures of my trucks and dead things. Sometimes my dog. Sometimes I get a triple and it's a picture of my truck, my dog and some dead things.
At least its not your dead dog in a truck? My power wheels is way cooler than your truck. lol. I'm kidding.
She was mine. I traded her when she started acting up. I made an example for my wife. Holy crap. Did I just say that out loud? Any who. Yes. It is an srt4. I put alot of blood sweat and tears into it. Then she spent a month in the shop due to a rather icy section, and a curb. Two days later, a sensor went out, and she just STOPPED, right there on the hwy. I got it to go again, and the next day it did it again. SO, another $200 dollar towing fee, and 400 for the sensor. I decided enough was enough, and I traded it in on an 08 Jeep Cherokee. They paid my loan off on the Dodge, and I got a more family/Minnesota weather friendly vehicle. I have had enough of the "tuner scene". You know?
I understand, but them little buggers will FLY. I think they run like 8.xx on a 1/8th mile strip. Stock.
I had mine down to a 13.9x on the quarter. Never did an 1/8th. There is a vid of it on myspace, or youtube...somewhere anyway. It's the only red one with a black fender. lol. Sac raceway FTW!
The Clinician You scored 65% Practical, 70% Theory, and 63% Performance! You have combustion theory and science down pat. You've got an idea of what work and what doesn't in the tuning world, and you can diagnose and fix many engine and fueling issues on your own. You'd make a great mechanic and tuner, but chances are you're more interested in the physics and the science than you are in getting grease under your nails. Your knowledge and experience would make you a prime candidate to be a top-level race mechanic, if you had an interest. Good luck!
