My wife says I hunt too much. I hunt 35 to 40 times per year. How many times do you guys go? Count all day hunts as 2 ( morning and evening hunt)

So far I've been out 9 times, 44 hours total in stand. Last year i got out about 30-35 times or so, but then again, I'm in highschool and don't have a wife ;)

I have no idea on the hours, but I'm now hunting less than I used to. That is on purpose though. When I was younger I used to pound all my best spots before it was time to hunt them. Now I try to do things a little more wisely. I do quite a bit more observation than actual hunting now.

I logged 266 hours last year...that's 11 days! I don't plan or want to hunt that much this year. I knew we'd be having a baby this year so I hunted every chance I had.

i hunt every weekend... cant hunt during the week becuase of work(teach) and my hunting areas are 1- 1.5 hours away. Luckily i get off christmas break, a few days for thanksgiving, and a couple personal days holidays. I should be in the woods 20 days or so.

I'm just getting back into bow hunting so I'm still finding spots, gathering gear etc. So far I've hunted about 6-7 times. I've also done a few week long work trips since bow season has come in that has cut into bow hunting time.
Now water fowling, I'll hunt 60-70 days in 3-4 states in a normal year. What I'll probably do is cut my out of state water fowling time down to help finance my new bow hunting habit!

If your wife says you hunt too much, you hunt too much. You may not hunt too much, but her perception is that you hunt too much.

It's up to you to find the "Goldie Lox" amount of hunting.

    Everybody's will be different.

Well lets see, 24 hrs of daylight (7 hrs not spent hunting to be safe)... So 17x8 = 136 + 53 hrs in blind in WY so I'm at 189 hrs in month of August. Haven't gotten out since then tho lol

I spent a good 6 days in woods bear hunting in September. I've duck hunted about 10 mornings so far. And I've sat in deer stand since October 1 6 times.

I sat for somewhere around 160 hours last year. I'll probably be just shy of that this year, but then again, I may hunt later into december this year depending on how successful I am in november

Not sure how many hours (a lot). I hunt every morning and afternoon from opening day to last day (aside from a tornado or earthquake).

2011 was 39x for 136 hrs. That was just deer. Doesnt count the few days of bear & fall turkey.
2012 was 32x for 87 hrs. I lost a week of the rut because of elk hunting. And again, doesnt count a few days for bear & turkey.
This year I am a bit behind, but I spent a week in idaho. ANd I also have a lot of days off coming up, so I'll be good. Probably in the mid 30's again.
