wow!! ive only ever had 2 shots at deer. One ducked the arrow and I hit the other badly =( and couldnt recover it You guys must be amazing at stalking to be nailing so many each season. I found stalking in on deer really challenging compared to everything else I've hunted.
A lot of folks have does crawling all over the place where they hunt and need to even out the buck to doe ratio. Not a lot of stalking going on.
I guess I technically started bowhunting 4-5 years ago, but without a drivers license a hunting season is basically meaningless. I never had the interest in killing a doe until this past year either. I have been able to drive for two hunting seasons now. 2007- Struck out, never came within range of a buck I was interested in. 2008- Antelope buck in SD, whitetail doe in KY, whitetail buck in KY. 2009-? (No more excuses, all on my shoulders at this point!)
21 as well, but spread over all four years... Illinois predominantly with a couple in Missouri as well. Six bucks, all the rest were does.
