Never really added them up. I am sure I'm in the 100+ a year category of actual hunting. 200+ of days spent hunting/scouting
Deer hunting in 2011: 29 hunts 127 hours and 55 minutes .... .... .... That doesn't count the 9 day WI rifle season
Working in the outdoor industry and having hills full of deer, elk, moose sheep, bear goat, etc.. within spitting distance of my house has afforded me these luxuries. I feel I am truly blessed to be where I am
Not sure. But with the kids now getting a little older this year I won't have nearly as many restrictions.
I second that, still a little young but already cleared my vacation time this year with the boss(wife) and work.
probably somwhere between 25-30 days I partook in some type of hunting activity; deer, upland birds, waterfowling, and spring turkey. I got another 20-25 under my belt shed hunting, putting in a food plot, scouting, and hanging sets for 2012.
I'd say you are very lucky. Working in retail management doesn't allow me anywhere near the same luxury.
Yeah the oilfield makes it hard to get out much also. I would say around 20 sits last year at most. One day ill have one of them cool jobs that pays decent AND allows you to have s life.
I work in retail management too. But, I get off at around 2 pm everyday and always get my vacation time. Being the boss has it's definite benefit's. There is a flip side, though. I worked 19 hours of overtime in the last two days. Salary sucks.
I probably spend over 80 days a year hunting, fishing, & scouting. Add fly tying in there and it is well over 200.
