How many people have killed a buck they had on trail camera that summer? Also how many will kill some of the studs this fall they have on trail cam this summer?
I did last summer/fall. 1st time I ever did that. Odd since I rarely put trail cams out. Doubtful I'll accomplish that this year, I'm not running any cams.
I have yet got a pick of a buck that I've harvested, I've been only using trail cams for about 4 years now. I'm waiting to get a pick of a couple bruisers this season, two deer of which I found both sets of sheds. One will be a monster pushing 200" or better. I have to switch cams, my one out in this area now isn't taking night pics, I think he has been in there at night, and I'm missing pictures.
I have killed a few that I was watching and had named befor, but I'm new to this Trail Camera thing. Going to put one out for the wife this weekend though.
Last year was first time I nearly harvested my best buck from trail cam pics with bow...got him two days later during gun season - so yet to do with bow. Camera hopefully goes up this weekend - so we'll see...
If you look at the photo (between the mounts), you'll see the trailcam photo of both of the mounts, standing together.
I have only doing the trail cams for a couple seasons and killed one of the nice bucks that i got on cams last year, i must say he had gone ghost until night before gun season. He was in love and followed a old doe out of the sanctuary right at dark, next morning was gun season and i caught him following the same doe back to the thicket, I took the shot like i have done so many times in this same spot. year after year I kind of think my night time trail cam pics scare deer off, i get a lot of single pics of deer and then they vanish on the other hand my family will come and hunt the ground during rifle season and kill bucks i dont have any pics of and never seen on the farm bowhunting. p.s i am not a year round trail cam guy i only put them up before bow season by a few weeks..too much of my stuff walks off if i leave it out.
Nope. I ran one cam about 4 years ago, all post season, then it died. Haven't run any until this year, so we'll see.
I filmed and got trail cam pics of this buck, he was the smallest i was after but still a nice deer, i got pics of him hitting a scrape on the 16th & 17th of Oct. and killed him the evening of the 17th One of this years prospects, ive been filming and watching him too, so we'll see!
3 times. And my youngest son's first deer was also on a trail cam. I have been too busy this year to run cameras much. Only one out right now and it needs moved.
I've had the chance to shoot several dinks I had caught on camera but didn't. Last year I had a pic of a 130 class 8 point and when I had the chance to shoot him I couldn't turn it down. Dan
I have 1 kill that was on cam, my best buck ever but it was with a smoke pole. I missed him by 1 day with the Bow
