I've always been doing construction projects with my dad since I was fairly young (he's very talented...did some side contracting as well as 30yrs as a woodshop teacher). When I went to school for Tech Ed, I took a few construction, and wood manufacturing classes, but I didn't do much in the line of finish work (only built one shaker table).

Now that I finally have my own house and two possible workshops, I'm starting to get the itch to get into more woodworking. Not to mention the fiance wants me to build her things for the house. I have a good collection of general construction tools, but not too many woodworking tools. I can't go too nuts here early on, but I think I'm going to begin starting my collection. My dad is already suggesting I purchase a table saw first, because I already have a miter saw, circular saw, drills, etc. I think this will be my first actual big tool purchase. Probably a 1.5-3hp construction saw (Grizzly most likely).

So, let's hear about your woodworking shops, and post some pictures while you're at it to give me ideas!
