    Hi All.

I am going to buy a tree stand, thought of a lone wolf alpha or assault II. well, the question is, how many ladder sticks do i need to get in 15-20 feet? i know they're 32" long but wanted to hear what ya'll are using and how
    many?

I believe they recommend spacing the sticks 15" apart on the tree. If you do that you're looking at about 47" from the top of the first stick to the top of the next stick. (stick length plus 15" space)

5 sticks would get you to 20 feet at the top of the last stick so if you want to be able to step down into the stand either space the sticks a little further apart or hang your stand at about 18 feet.

Personally I only use three steel sticks that are about 36" and if I stretch them out and hang the stand so I have to step slightly up into it, I get about 12-14 feet.

I'm able to get up approximately 18ft with 4 sticks. I'm stepping down into the stand as well. A fifth stick would certainly get you over 20 ft. I'm also spacing my sticks about the max width apart for a guy that is only 5' 9".

5, 4 foot sticks will bring you to 20 feet.

I use 6 sticks to get up to 20-25 feet. It depends on how you space them and the best option would be to get 3 and try it and see how you like it. If you want to go higher, buy some more.

For the stand, I have an Assault 2, but I wish I would have gotten the Alpha 2, just cause I think my boots would fit better on it, but its bearable.

I recommend 4 LW climbing sticks. You would be good to 20'.

Ladder sticks are made to go together. The climbing sticks are made to place on the tree separately. The climbing sticks will allow you to "adjust" the height but the ladder sticks will not. Not sure if you were aware of the difference or not.
