How many shots would say you put through your bow a year? What kind of string you have? When do you replace it? Me, I would say I put 75 shots a week through mine so that = 4,000 shots!! Wow, that seems like a lot. Some weeks are less and some more, but average is 75 a week. I have a Winner's Choice. I think Im good for at least this season. Hell it's only a year old. What about you?

    I'd say I average about 25 to 30 shots a day.

    Replace it? Anually

I have custom strings right now, but I think my next will be winners choice.

I would say i shoot give or take 25 arrows a day so that would be about 9000 a year, planing to buy a new string after this season so that would be two years on my vapor trail.

How many shots per year? I have no idea. But it's in the tens of thousands.

Fuse strings. I don't replace my strings......haven't had a bow long enough. LOL

I use to spend more time shooting, 8 years or so ago it would be nothing for me to put well over 100 shots through my bow every day of the week from April through Nov. My shooting has slowed down, and I bet that I only put about 500-700 shots through my bow each year.

Strings are FirstString Flightwire, just put them on this year, I should get two years out of them.

I probably put 40-50 arrows a week through the bow. I have the original strings still on mine.

I've had my current bow since 2003 and I'm sure I don't have over 5000 shots on it.

As of last year after the bear season (September 1st) through the middle of November I was shooting on the average of 75 to 100 arrows a day 7 days a week. At the most that's roughly 9000 arrows In 3 months. In April of this year I started back up again but didn't last to long being I got a thing called golfers elbow from splitting wood all winter by hand. I don't know If I'll ever be able to shoot this amount of arrows again with my elbow not getting much better. I guess I don't need to shoot that much either but man I really enjoy It more now then ever.

Time will tell on how much I'll be able to practice In the Spring, Summer and Fall months.

Maybe 40-50 quality shots a week for a guestimate of 2000 shots a year. (It used to be 10x's that when I competed).

I roll my own strings out of Brownell UltraCam and I replace them... uhhhh, I haven't replaced any of them in the last 2 years. (The original 452x and Barracuda strings my bows came with didin't last 2 months in this brush; UltraCam wears like iron!)

    Which bow?
I shoot my main trad bow the most because I need to in order to maintain any type of proficiency. And even with that I don't go nuts on shot count.

My main compound, unless something goes majorly haywire with broadhead tuning. It won't see 150 shots between now and the season.

Don't shoot so much the last 5+ years. I'd guess about 250 shots b/t Aug & Sept...then just a few throughout year after that. Just replaced bowstring - was original and had 9 seasons on it...looked perfect (waxed twice/year) - just scared it would break sometime. Once kids are old enough to shoot with me, I'm sure I'll be back to shooting nearly year round as I did before.

Now next year I plan to shoot much more in summer in preparation for Elk hunting - since longer range would be possible...
