    Hi

I'm just trying to get started bowhunting and a friend let me borrow an old compound bow he had but he doesn't know the draw weight.

The bow is painted, is there some way to find out without the model # etc.?

take it to a bow shop. theyll be able to put it on a draw weight scale, and probably tell you anything else about the bow you want to know.

If you have a scale for weighing deer you could use that.

Welcome to the forum by the way! :tu:
