Shot two does this past season. Along with the buck, the freezer is almost empty. I plan on 3 next season, unless my fiance or father gets out and takes one.
I killed one, but may not this year. Our buck to do ratio is probably 1:1 and we don't need to shoot any. Predation is taking a toll on the fawns in our area so recruitment is low.
1st deer shot on opening day was a doe and 1st time out with a bow. My dad also got a doe the same morning. Pretty lucky morning. We had both deer boned out and in the fridge by 11:30 because of temperature. Will probably never happen that easily again. If my dad would have gotten out of his stand 2 minutes earlier he would have spooked my deer. Lucky and fun day.
