I do but now that I've launched my bowhunting team and since we film our hunts I will mainly just bow hunt. I will still rifle hunt in PA but won't include any of it in my filming. PA rifle hunting is family tradition so that won't be going away.

You can use a bow in PA rifle season so strictly bow for me. Started with a rifle though, it was fun but just don't get excited about it anymore.

No, I don't hunt deer with a gun. I HATE gun season. I don't care if people hunt with a gun I just hate all the idiots that gun season attracts.

I have carried a rifle three times in the past 5 or 6 years. In those three trips... 6 deer were killed. Four bucks and two does... One was my son's first buck. I prefer bow hunting all the way, unless I have a special reason for carrying a rifle. Last year I went out on my b'day and killed two deer in the last 30 minutes of daylight like there was nothing to it. Yawwwwn!

I don't gun hunt deer anymore. I don't have a problem with anyone that chooses to do so, but it just no longer has an attraction to me. There is something about that bow that satisfies me when I am fortunate enough to harvest a deer, and I never did get that same feeling when gun hunting.

I will be out there next weekend with my H&R 20 gauge. Generally fill a doe tag early and buck hunt the rest of the season, but with an empty freezer to this point the first 2 does I see may be in trouble!

I gun hunt but like grnhd said...I HATE gun season. There are a group of guys that own/hunt land that borders my lease. There are no boundaries. They go where they please and shoot anything that moves.

Here's a funny story...I went bowhunting on my lease just a few days ago for the first time this year. I normally put corn in this 3 acre field that borders one of my neighbors. I didn't this year because I got busy and decided I would just let it grow up. I drove up there to see my neighbor has erected a tower stand right on the property line looking down into my field. AND...he took his bush hog and mowed a 20' wide shooting lane right down the middle of my field.

I've thought about running them off, getting the conservation officer involved, and a number of other things. But, it's just not worth it. I've decided I just won't be renewing that lease next year.

I love shotgun hunting. Started when I was 11 using my dad's Remington 870. Best of luck

If he mowed into your field I would have to make a phone call.

There is a small 20 acre piece that borders us. For years 1 guy hunted it, and had a great relationship with us. For whatever reason they went away from him and now 5 guys lease it. Talk about a group of trash hunters. No respect for property lines. Within a week of first spotting their trucks, I had a camera stolen and a stand tampered with. They bow hunt it some, but all 5 flood it for gun season. Used to be a nice little stand, but I won't dare hunt it with those guys toting guns around.

Sure do. Now that my son is old enough to rifle hunt but not old enough to be able to pull legal weight for bow hunting I focus on taking him out.

I don't gun hunt much at all anymore, I can count the number of days I been out with a gun on two hands in the last 10 years. Saturday is our reg season opener in NY, I will swing over the broader and bow hunt in CT for the weekend.

Yep I do. I enjoy Muzzleloader and also Rifle seasons. Alot of fun. Sometimes I take my bow out during ML or Rifle, just depends on how I feel.

Agree with the fact that gun season certainly brings out some real gems, but there are alot of good gun hunters also. I hate the morons as much as the next guy.

I only hunt with the rifle coz I can't hunt with my bow, I just love hunting and if I can't have the bow then I guess I'll just have to use the rifle. During muzzleloader season I use my bow unless I've tagged out which then I hunt with my hand gun during the muzzleloader season.

I love gun season. It's just a different mindset. More relaxed. I don't worry about the wind. I sit in a blind with a heater. I have 150+ yards at my disposal. All of my non bowhunting buddies are hunting so it's text wars all day. It's just fun.

Yep! Although I haven't shot one with a rifle one forever. My gun of choice is a 44mag handgun but some units I have to use a slug gun as handguns aren't permitted there. (Dumb law)
