I know this is a bow hunting site, but was I wondering how many of you also gun hunt?

I'll start- I gun hunt and muzzle load hunt when those seasons roll around.

My passion is bow hunting, but I cut my teeth at age 12 on gun hunting and it still has a place in my heart.

I will be hunting 2nd season shotgun with my buddy and a bunchbof his grandpas friends. Bunch of old farts. Good time every year. Not as fun as bow hunting tho.

Yep. If I don't fill my buck tag during archery, I'm always out during the PA season. I've really started to get an itch for muzzleloader season, so we'll see. I only have one doe tag left for my WMU, so I can't decide whether to try to fill it during rifle or late archery (or this Friday/Saturday :D).

I started hunting when I has 12 here in IL during the shotgun season. I still go to deer camp with my dad uncle and cousins it's one of my favorite times of year.
I also participate in the Indiana gun season but this year I am trying to shoot a good buck with my bow so for the first few days I am still going to bow hunt but if it isn't working out I will pick up the 20 gauge and hopefully put one on the ground.

I use a savage 220 with a Nikon SlugHunter and I shoot Remington Accu-Tips. Last year I dropped my IL 8 point at 180 yards with it.

Bow season goes out the end of November and gun seasons come in the beginning of December so if I want to keep hunting I pick up up my TC and Berretta!!! Bow hunting is my passion but I do enjoy muzzle loading season!!

I have a buddy that has the same gun. It shoots awesome he says.

I usually just use my T/C all during shotgun season due to its extended range capabilities and then also in the ML season.

I took my vacation the second week of rifle season. I'll try and fill my remaining tags.

Here in IL, bow season is closed during gun season, then re-opens after gun is over. I gun hunt with my 10 year old daughter. I put adjustable furniture on an H&R Ultra Slug Hunter (20 ga.) so that we can both use it - my 12 ga. Mossberg 500 was a little too much for her to handle.

I usually go out and knock down a few does during shot gun season. I save my buck tags for bow season. Taking a buddy out this year that has never hunted, be nice to get him his first deer. I'll be letting him use the savage 220 and I'll use the good old rem 1100 with open sights and good ole pumpkin slugs.

I'm going out this weekend for opening weekend of rifle and then I slow down a bit and put the guns back in the safe and stick to bow only zones

Occasionally I will take out the smokepole during the early season, and I always take the .44 mag during rifle season (along with my bow).

I have a muzzle loader and shotgun. I actually bought the shotgun off a friend of mine here at work. That was about 3 years ago and I've hunted with it 1 time. My brother has used it more than I have. It has a new scope but I have yet to even sight it in.

Really we just bow hunt. I will go with my neighbor once a year to hunt with him and his stands require a firearm due to the range (50-150) but other than that, i have no problems getting them close enough to get with my bow.

I do. Makes deer season 3 months and 1 day long. Starts with bow then shotgun back to bow then muzzleloader and back to bow.

I'll hunt with a rifle later in the season.
