I hunt mainly Washburn county. Have 20 acres of private in spooner but we mainly hunt all the public land up there. We also have my grandpas 40 which we never bow hunt just gun hunt. Might change that this year and actually bow hunt it because it has a ton of deer sign every year.
Only for Rifle Season. We have a 40 in Washburn, between Spooner & Hayward. Most of our hunting is done on county land. My brother & cousin bowhunt there though.
Know many of the people in the area there? Reason I ask is I have relatives that have a cabin by Hayward.
Sorry please excuse the southern intrusion, Fitz you hunt public land? All them big ole hoss bucks you post on the trail cam forums are on public county land? If so, I'm moving to minnesota to hunt some northern woodlands whitetail.
i hunt one public land in langlade county. Its well over 100 acres. Every year i only see one, maybe two, other trucks in the area. Most of the time its just me and my family hunting it and so far, this year looks pretty promising
I was talking about WI and rifle season, but yes, 90% of the hunting I do up here in MN is on public land too. Nearly all the big buck photos are on public land
