It only takes a second with one ready to go. Do you escort every guest to the point you know where they are every 30 seconds? Do you live in that unsafe of an area? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
If a kid outsmarts you quit having kids and guns. Not that hard to be a parent wish there was an IQ test to fertilize an egg.
That is why guns are not loaded and ammo in a safe lol. 6x more people die of accidental gun shots than by someone breaking in. Why do you have a problem with people taking precautions from deadly accidents? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Kids would be one thing maybe, but if they ain't you're kids then why are they rummaging through your house? Or if you know they're coming over put the firearms away. Same with any other guest. Why kind of ppl do you have coming into your home that are gonna be wondering around looking through your stuff? I don't think anyone is saying they have loaded guns sitting on the kitchen table or the bathroom sink. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
No one is rummaging through my house. My firearms are put away I think that was my point lol. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
So why not a loaded gun in the safe? Seems in the rare event that one may need one it would at least cut down some time having one ready to release the safety and use rather than grabbing wrong magazine or forgetting to rack the slide.
I just do not see the need roughly 100 break in homicides in the US each year. I do not have a problem with those who do think they need that. I do clean and practice from time to time. Just prefer unloaded Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Having a loaded gun in the house started on the ranch to deal with vermin. During normal times I would be traveling 4-6 months out of the year. My wife wanted a handgun to keep in the bedroom so we have one there, then she wanted to carry so we got her another gun. If my wife wants a gun to feel safe when I am gone she gets what she wants.
I have my guns out in the open. never had a problem with my boys. they were taught when they were very young to respect firearms and never touch them. try going to the safe to get your unloaded gun at 3 am and let us know how that works out for ya. you guy that own guns and are afraid of them...reminds me of a teenage boy buying condoms and being afraid to use them on prom night...
I'm not a big fan of guns. I fully support the 2nd amendment and get pissed when politicians/liberals/professors try to mess with those rights. I have a shotgun, a WWII Mosin Nagant that was my grandfathers, and a Glock 23, all loaded in the gun safe. I shot so much in the military on the range and in Iraq. I have seen how bullets shred human flesh. I think that is why I have no desire to target shoot or collect. my 20-year-old son has 3 times the amount of guns as I do and target shoots regularly. He has his own gun safe in his room, and quite a few are loaded.
Do you live in Little Chicago as well? If so, this city is disgustingly violent and criminal for its size.
I have a (permitted) fully loaded 95lb. Giant Schnauzer and a shovel for whatever's left over. Anyone that gets through him gets to find out what else I got.
I have no idea how you came up with that. I was humorously suggesting that I may in fact have loaded guns in multiple rooms out in the open. At my age most of my acquaintances are empty nesters so accordingly, most of the people I know are without kids. You must have misread my post!?
