4 bucks, 3 does, and one unconfirmed so far. The young bucks started cruising within the past few days so I suspect it's going to pick up really quick. My mock scrape had no leaves on it and I haven't touched it in over a week so I know it's being used big time.
It's been an awfully weird season for me here in NC this year. I haven't seen near the amount of deer that I have in previous years but I know the northern half of the state is getting hit really hard with blue tongue However, I had a change of pace tonight and saw 5, 1.5-2.5 year old bucks. No shooters but I was happy none the less.
Only been able to sit 3 times. 2 private land sits have generated 3 and 7 1 public land sit I saw 2. At his point last year I was over 10+ sits with far less deer but it was all public land. I am happy I have seen deer but not so happy time to hunt hasn't been on my side. New hunting shack needing to be finished and starting a new job (November 3rd worst time to start a new job ever) that's 150+ miles away from the old job and having to pack and move this coming weekend is going to be hard on me. But on the VERY bright side my new desk will be 39 miles from where I hunt, not over 150 like I am now. Thats a win.
Same here. I'm waiting for more corn to be harvested so they move back into the creek and river bottoms.
4 sits, one buck and one kill. But that is not the norm for me. Usually I see deer about 25% of the time and kill only 25% of the time I see them. Guess the next three times are gonna be bust. Warmer weather is screwing them up. I think the deer are deep in the woods still around here.
I don't log my sits but I'm guessing 15 sits and I've seen 6 or 7 deer with all of them being onf 3 of those 15 sits. All of those were up north which I have not hunted in October at all.
1 deer from the stand and shes in my freezer. I jumped 1 while blood tracking her and one more on the way out from another sit. I've seen 3 deer total over 3 sits but only one while actually in the stand.
When I hunt on my land in Tigerton WI, I honestly see around 20-30 deer a night when I hunt my food plot. Whats crazy is only 3 or 4 of them are mature doe. The rest are nubby bucks and doe fawns. It is crazy. I will have a video to post shortly on a lot of these deer.
11 so far. but i wouldnt let other peoples count get you down. its all about being in the right place at the right time. especially when November rolls around and those big boys start making mistakes.
