I blind bale practice in my garage, 10 arrows every day. On the weekends I practice at my in-laws, typically 80-100 arrows from 30-60 yards.
I shoot twice a day, almost every day for 30-45 minutes per session. I never count the arrow after the first one because that's the only one that matters. After the first one I'm just shooting for fun. I shoot 4 to 6 arrows per round each from a random distance range 10-50ish yards. Towards the end of my shooting session, I slow down and concentrate on holding at full draw and aiming for longer periods of time. I want the bow muscles to burn a little. I'm shooting about 40-50 7 days a week and 100+ on the weekends, anywhere from 20-60 or so yards. Can never get enough practice!
I shoot 1 arrow per shot at the target. Then i go retrieve it. The first arrow is the only 1 that counts for that session, All the rest are just form practice. Although in my 40 plus yrs. as a bowhunter I have had couple times where I had a second or even third shot at a deer. Way back as a young buck I perfected my form by shooting 2hrs. a day every day, rain, snow ,wind, ice, heat, cold for 1yr. straight. I don't know how many arrows that was but it was a lot. Now I usually shoot a 3d every wk. end and maybe 20 to 30 arrows 2x per wk.
I try to shoot a few times a week and can shoot 50 yards where I shoot. I usually shoot for a half hour+ per session. If your just starting out don't over do it. If your shooting tired you'll develop bad form and bad habits.
