I can only shoot like 30 arrows before my bow hand started to shake excessively. So what's your average number of arrows per session?
I pull about 60lbs which isn't heavy for me at all to be honest. I keep it lower because I would rather be comfortable when shooting and hunting and have the ability to draw from a sitting position and be comfortable. With that being said, I can shoot all day and it doesn't bother me.
You might want to drop your poundage if thats all you can shoot and you start shaking. I also shoot 60# and I can shoot all day if I wanted to, its a comfortable draw weight for me.
You're overbowed..... You should be able to shoot for hours without getting tired. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk
I only shoot two arrows at a time so I usually ran out of time before I run out of strength. I'm putting 80# limbs on my MR7 when I pick up the Chill'R. Planning on setting it at 75# for hogs.
I can shoot for at least 2 hours without getting tired at 60 lbs. you may want to turn it down Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
I just went from 65 back to 70. I shoot three arrows a round and have shot between 7 and 10 rounds the last couple of days and don't really get shaky. I don't think that I've ever shot for hours. I just go through my practice routine and put it away for awhile. Sent from my SAMSUNG Infuse 4G
I would agree, probably need to turn it down alittle,..but its funny you mentioned that,...Saturday morning while sitting in the stand for about 6 hours without so much as moving a muscle at 17*, I decided to get down for a spell. I always take a "stump shot" before I get down just to make sure I'm still on, not often I get to shoot from 20ft up. As I stood I realized my arms where stiff as a board, glad the big one I'm after didnt walk by at that time,....gonna make sure to stretch more when its cold,...lol
The other question is how long can you hold a 70# bow drawn and still make a confident shot? I'm practicing holding for a minute and a half now but working up to two minutes plus for Elk hunting.
