Have to harvest a couple more does with deer management assistance permits for the city...our property boundaries the city limits and we can't grow a cedar and barely get a pine to get above the browsing. A good way to put meat in the freezer but gets pretty miserable on the stand this time of year.

I just checked the lake yesterday, we have 3.5" of ice already. We cant hunt on sundays here so Ill be jiggin' away!

The lovely state of Louisiana has a bow season all the way until January 31. In fact, the rut is just kicking on my lease. I will be out there until Jan 31. Favorite time of the year to hunt is January. Of course, down here cold temps in January mean 20-25 degrees, and not 20-25 below like some of you other guys have to endure. I only have to wear insulated clothing maybe a handful of times each year.
caught 20+ crappie on sunday - let my step daughter do the hunting...will get a couple does this weekend probly and have two deer to process hanging right now(poor gen. 7pt and bro's white stocking doe).
Got the next 2 weeks off and the season isn't over until January 8th. Time to hunt hard and some deer to die !! Tim
