How long do deer lures usually last? Most of the product I use have expiration dates and was just curious in terms of doe estrus buck scent covers etc. There is a surplus here that is selling alot of quality products tinks code blue code red and so forth but I noticed some were expired. Any thoughts guys? The scents expired last year around February 2014.

8 inches...oh read the title and just assumed. Just messin, I tend to use them until they run out whether that is the same year or the next year just because I figure it is usually pretty old (unless you get the refrigerated stuff) when you buy it anyway.

Lmao man anyhow yeah same here I was just wondering why they were trying to make money on expired scents and if they would still be effective but to each its own. I prefer the fresh stuff if I can get it. There is a local who sells fresh young buck urine and doe urine.

Yeah I definitely prefer fresh but towards the end of the season I start dumping anything I can find trying to close the deal haha. I've had god luck with those heated tinks things that are air activated

I hung them up the last two years in the peak of the rut and had deer coming in before the sun came up and they were right at them I just couldn't see them. Probably a couple 16 or 17 pointers if I had to guess. I did shoot one that same morning with the muzzleloader but never found it unfortunately.
