I saw my first pickup with these stickers on it, today. Reckon they're tired of sucking hind tit to Toyota's TRD's?
I think you add those yourself, don't you? I know you "can" get Nismo aftermarket stuff, from the dealers, but I doubt they are on there unless its' special order...
some of their vehicles do offer a 'nismo' version as a factory installed package... but frankly I doubt it holds a candle to the new Raptor....
Nissan's current equivelant to the TRD is the PRO-4X when talking about trucks. NISMO is the racing line of stuff and to my knowledge hasn't been on their trucks for a long time. NISMO has been around for a really long time though, both TRD and NISMO were started in the early 80's not sure who was around first. To be honest, NISMO probably has a LOT more racing heritage behind it than TRD.
Desert racing. As for the Nismo branding, it was a package just like Toyota's TRD (the offroad version at least). It included "upgraded" shocks, progressive front coils, slightly bigger tires, and of course, the optional rear locker. Like Matt said, the Pro-4X is now their designation for the "offroad" packages.
