I've got quite a few bucks in my area, seen three small rack decent body deer, and two big rack big body, and two small bucks in the last couple weeks. Just wondering when to bag it? In the past Ive waited and didnt end up getting the one I wanted, and actually passed ones that I wish I would have shot.

If you are prepared to eat tag soup wait for the one you want all season. If you still feel the need to fill your tag take the 1st buck you will be happy with :D

My take as well. I've ate tag soup a few times. I'm stubborn though. ;)

Yeah tag soup is hard to swallow. I usually try to make sure I got a buck before the rut is over, I usually see so many its hard not to let it fly. Some of them get really dumb as you guys know during rut, so 10-15 yard shots are possible alot. Patience is hard, I dont like waiting till gun season though, so many other hunters.

I mean, I've passed up big bucks opening weekend and never seen them again... Kind of a personal choice
