    Hey guys,

How late in the season can soybeans be planted and be ready for the hunting season in the north?

If you do not care if they go to pods then you can plant them all summer, provided they get enough rain though. We just planted about an acre of them for the purpose of just giving them something to browse over the next month. Likely the deer will wipe them out which is fine. Our plan then is around the first part of August we will go back in and get the field ready for a brassica mixture. In your situation if you are hoping to have beans to hunt over hopefully you have a lot of land you intend to plant or else you may be in a similar situation.
