Hope you guys have all had a great summer, so far. I'm 2 triathlons into my season (2-3 to go)......and a half-marathon is looming in Oct.

I have a brand new Schafer Silvertip I've had for over 2mos....that's never been shot....lol. Having too much fun to switch things up, now.

Both tri's have been 300M swims / 20K bike / 5K runs. Pretty consistent. 1:15:39 and 1:16:52. Difference being courses and transition areas (size). I did a lot better on the bike in No. 2 (photos). Swim was basically identical....and my run was a little faster (by 1min) in No. 1. Difference was the size/proximity of the transition area.

I guess I'll hunt deer, after Oct. 3.

You need to get down on that bike. Put them aero bars to use.

That's awesome!! I've recently gotten real interested in running. I am eyeing up a local 5k next spring. And maybe evening bumping up to a 10k before next deer season. I am currently only able to keep about a 12:30 min mile pace.

Hook.....those photos were taken a few yards shy of the dismount line. I didn't look. But, I'm betting I'm unclipped, also. Not much use for the aero position when you're running 8mph!....lol

(point taken, though. I currently spend about 50% of my time in aero. That's gonna have to change, before next fall)

That is FANTASTIC Jeff. Way to keep the competitive spirits high and at the same time benefitting your long term health. You look like you are in great shape. That should benefit you in all phases of your life and in the big woods of Colorado.

Good stuff. Looks like a lot of work goes into it. Way to keep the competitive juices flowing. I'll stick to trying to shape the little white ball around golf courses.

If I was built like Pam, I would have broken the tape .0000000000000000534 seconds earlier.

    I forgot to mention....

They had a special category in the tri for dopers and those who had completed the P90X program. They had to swim underwater; ride unicycles and hop on one leg.

They still beat us mortals by a long shot.

    They were BRINGIN' IT!:nana:

good job... I've begun training for my first sprint tri next june, some stumbling blocks early on in my training while my body gets used to the "punishment"... I only plan to do 2 next year, then the following year I'm going to try to move up to Olympic distance... we'll see how it goes... got a lot of weight to lose still as I'm still in Clyde territory for a few more weeks
