I just got word from the land owner on a new parcel I get to hunt. Deer starting to move in the late afternoons, & something bigger is at her apple tree. The higher apples are being eaten. :woot: They seem to be coming in from a certain direction crossing the street onto her property. She hasn' seen last yr's 10ptr yet. Turkeys arriving at the same time everyday,& getting closer to her house everyday. One walked up to her porch the other day. How's it looking for you all this yr?

From what I can tell the deer are starting to get up and move quite a bit more around my spots.

Besides a few smaller bucks while I have been glassing, I haven't seen much in the way of larger deer.

I remember seeing a few bigger bucks in the woods I hunt late last year during a CWD season....I never found sheds for them though.

I will probably glass a few times next week in hopes to catch something....other than that, I'll just have to wait till season rolls around.

Should be good. 11 food plots in, and acorns just started to drop :D

I know that their are plenty of doe's but otherwise not really sure. I decided not to use game cams much this year and leave my spots alone.

I have always been weary of putting out game cams for two reasons. One, the thought of someone stealing them and secondly, the idea of bumping deer everytime I would go to check it.

I am basically in the same boat as you Tony, glass from far enough away not to pressure the deer then hope what I saw last year is still around.

And about the does.....well, I am slammed with does. Probably gotta thin out the herd a bit this year.
