My dad and uncle started going to a local shop a longgggg time ago. It was really the only shop I knew of, until later in life, so it just became habit to me. They were all very kind and courteous to new comers, and old timers alike. I truely enjoyed going there. When we moved back to MN, I got back into archery (took time off in the Marines) then when I started working the second and third shifts. I started going there during the days to get my regular practice in, and just to hang out.
The thing I truely respect about that shop was they wouldn't try to sell you into any one kind of brand. They would take time to figure out what you wanted, or were interested in, then show you similar products to that. It is a great little (not so little) family owned establishment. I still talk to the "kid" that works there, every once in a while, about different things that come up with my equiptment, and he still helps me.
I really don't know anyone that has ever had a problem there, at all!

Here's to you Bwana Archery, (Little Canada, MN)

I hope to be able to have the equipment, knowledge, and space one day to be able to do all my own work.

My dining room table has become the local archery proshop since there isn't one on the island any more so I'd say that I'm fully involved, 100%... I need to build a workshop.
