You guys that still have a season left, I am envious .... so many times the last month I have wanted to be deer hunting .....

I have to tell ya, I am usually done by the end of the season .... kinda glad it's over ...tired, taxed out, ... and loving sleeping in .... but this year has been different ... I want more .... I suppose it may be because of the success I had this year...but I am not sure .... <<SIGH>>

Gotta wait until 9 months have passed

    anyone else sharing my pain?

I usually spend my time after season coyote hunting to keep myself in the woods, but it's been too effin cold to do any of that. I'm definitely getting the "itch" to get out hunting. I learned a lot this season that I wish I could put to use right away.

I'm pumped for bear season too, gonna be busy baiting for clients though, but yeah this is horrible just sitting and waiting :D. I'm gonna try turkey hunting to keep me occupied, until then practice, practice, practice! :tu:

We also have urban archery (deer - until mid-feb).

Everyone needs to try bowfishing!!! grap an old recurve and mount an ams reel on it and use it all spring and summer untill season again! shoot coyotes with your bow and now fish to keep you occupied! Last year i killed well over 500 carp/gars

I've been out a few hours each of the past several saturdays. 2 more weekends of deer left, one more for squirrels still in after that and a few more for fox after that. Its nice to just go out if/when I feel like it, for however long I feel like it. And dont really care if I see anything or not.
But I will add, the bow has long been put away. This is all gun hunting.

I was ready to be done by the end of the season also, but now I'm dying to get back in a tree. Fishing, scouting, shed hunting, and turkey hunting are going to be what holds me over until September 15th.

Oh yea Tony, last weekend was our season ender. I was planning on going, just for another doe. But worked late Friday and could'nt bring myself to make the 4 hour drive.
Now I'm kind of regretting it!

Im sure you would like it...me and a buddy use to go just about everyday
I started with a homemade spear and then went to a longbow with a regular arrow tied to a rope and then i got the ams reel and put it on one of my recurves and now im stuck =]
