I only have a climber right now but I have a few dif spots or trees I have for it. And depending on the spot I'm between 15' - 20'. But its totally circumstantial for the spot you are hunting. I would go higher if I needed for a dif spot or maybe even a little lower if the circumstances called for it. but on average I'm at between 15-20' Nock em down, Drag em out!!
75'....seriously though, 15-20. my haul line is 15' I climb until the bow is barely on the ground. so, 17'?
I also am usually between 15' and 20'. Depends on my shooting lanes and how open the woods are. The more open they are, the higher I try to go...but if the canopy starts to get in my way, I stop. I would rather have an easy clean shot, than have to fight limbs from other trees for a clear path.
Depends on the surroundings and such. Some times you don't dare go any higher then say 8 feet. Other spots as high as you can get comfortably. No set answer for me as each stand placement has to many variables In determining height.
My stand is at 14' Dad's stand is 17' our third stand is 16 feet to the platform. we share our stands, if I'm not hunting dad might sit mine or vise versa, the third stand is first come first sit.
No lower the about 18 feet! Anything less an I feel you have to be really still! I think I figet alot!
I like being in that 15' to 20' range but it also depends even more so on the tree I'm in. I strictly use hang on stands.
It depends but I sit at least 18' like to be around 22' to 25'. It gives me a little more freedom when it comes to moving around in the stand.
I have two ladder stands, one's 15', and the other is 17'. Sometimes my buddy will let me use his climber if I feel the wind is not in my favor for the day. If I use a climber I usually go about 15'-20'. Anything above 20' and i start to get uneasy
18-20 with a climber, at a minimum. Since I'm climbing relatively straight, limbless trees, you have to get higher to stay out of sight. Not to mention it helps with blowing scent over deer as well.
