I neither implied nor inferred that there is anything wrong with wanting to know. Mine was only a question asking WHY the interest in knowing.
Math smath, the answer is simple: It will go as far as it can until it runs out of energy or until it hits and obstruction...duh.
An even better question is; why not? Does a craving for knowledge need a reason? I was curious is all. It's as simple as that. I want to know my bow's limits.
I think I misread your post. I think I mistook your xxxfeet estimate as yards. -_- Though, I think you wrote them backwards. "592.4 m or 197 ft" does not make sense. I think you meant "592.4 feet or 197 meters" In which case those numbers are close, but still off by a little. If my assumption is correct, the real numbers would be 592.4 feet, 180.56 meters, or 197.47 yards. I'd appreciate it if you could input the new #'s I gave into those equations of yours. I HIGHLY doubt my bow can shoot in excess of 400+ yards. I'd be astonished if that were the case.
You inputed grams for the weight instead of grains. You are nowhere near that number. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's because the 197 wasn't supposed to be in there and I edited it out but the post was already copied and it was too late. I was copying the text from the document I was working in and had edited it but forgot to delete that before I pasted. I caught but not until it was copied already.
The new # with the correct arrow weight in grains input in the calculator is 253.32fps. This is the speed of my arrows.
