Just curious how far away you guys park away from your spot? I could literally shoot out of my truck that's how close I park (I don't, just saying).

I generally park about 200-300 meters away and hide it in some bushes after I download everything.

The furthest for me is probly 200 yards! Most stands pretty close from the roads are.

One of my spots I park about 250 yards from the stand and the other is about 500 or so. All depends where on the property I hunt that day. I don't mind walking far to get to a good spot without spooking them

I hunt from my truck, so I'm not really sure how to answer this.

I've considered putting a blind up in the back of my truck and seeing if that gives me a better view point. Elevated and in a blind, best of both worlds.

When I went to IL last year - some of the guys were joking and said "If you can't see your truck, you're not hunting right".

I could easily park right behind my stand - but I park on the other side of the field and walk.

I hunt and live on my property, but when i go to my public land spot, I'm about 1 mile (by the way the crow flies) from my vehicle.

I'm about 2 miles from my stand in one place. I dont have access to drive any further and its just too good of funnel to ignore. Keeps me in shape.

It depends. my furthest walk is a mile and my closest is only 500 yards. So not very far.

That's not a bad idea. I just hunt from inside the truck though. The deer don't spook and I can drive closer to them if I don't have a good shot.

Edit: I should mention that this works better with a crossbow or rifle.

I'm about a half mile from my stand on public land. No motorized vehicles allowed, so it is what it is.

I park about 120-200 yards from my stand. My dad one year drove his truck out to within about 60-70 yards of his stand and parked. He shot a smaller buck and it ran right to his truck and dropped dead within a couple of feet of the back of his truck. He laughs about it all the time and says he was mad that it didn't jump into the bed so he didn't have to load it. :)

Unless your getting out and loading outside the vehicle, thats illegal in WI, bro. I'm assuming your joking, because no one could be that stupid to suggest that as a viable option.

I park 300-500 yards from my stands. Don't know why sometimes. Last year me and a buddy were moving a stand. Dow walked with 20 yards of us (no bow in hand of course). She walked up onto the field and within 10 yards of my Jeep and starts feeding. This is on a farm so they are used to vehicles but jeez.

My closest stand is a half mile walk..furthest is almost two miles on public land (which makes for an interesting walk in the dark)

Anywhere from 200 yards to a mile. All depends on where I'm seeing the bucks. My mile walk can be cut down to half if I'm hunting with someone, I simply get dropped off on the road and sneak up the steep ditch into the draw.
