Hey Dusty haha ill comment since we are literally in the same area. I had some out last night and within minutes in the stand I had a small buck right under me and then had nice 8 point 50 yards down wind.

I started using some today for the first time and had some small deer checking up on it. Should be a full go for estrous scents by the end of the week I would think.

Scent is just not very productive where I hunt. Probably because it is overused and the deer have a negative sense about it as a result. I don't use any. Then again, our rut is not very intense due to the doe to buck ratio. That might have something to do with it.

Generally if my walk in is dry I dribble a little bit on my boots to try and cover any scent I may be leaving along my trail (even after spraying my boots down with (insert brand here) scent killing spray.

Then before I get in my stand I do a little loop 20 yds through any shooting lanes and then just dump a small portion in the middle of my main lane.

If I am getting a little wary of winds swirling I put a little on the back of my tree (so I don't touch it or get it on my clothes when I get down).

I have had good success with that last point. Seems to be enough pheromone in the air to throw them off my scent enough to just make them cautious and not totally spook.

Obviously varies from area to area though depending on the deer herd.

Tampons. Just steal them from the wife. Tie them up on a branch and dip them in some doe pee and it's as good as any wick out there.
