Yote all the way without a doubt... I see too many of 'em in my traps to think otherwise.

Not big enough to be a wolf.

Coyote: Height 15"-20", length (nose to tip of tail) 40"-50"
Wolf: Height 26"-32", length (nose to tip of tail) 4'6"-6'6"

You'd see a huge size disparity in the tracks as well.

Yote for sure. Easiest way to tell is by size, as others have stated.

Here's a photo from a trapper in Alaska showing the difference.

I don't have the fortune / misfortune to live in an area with wolves, but even if I did, I still think they would be an awesome animal to be around, right?

I've just always been fascinated by them.

I'm with you RC. So many people, especially hunters, don't like them at all. I love sharing the woods with them. Seeing them, hearing them howl, and catching them on trail cams...

Our deer heard is healthy and alert because of them too. I would be a lot of $$$ that you won't be seeing and outbreak of CWD up here :tu:

The crazy thing about wolves is you don't realize how big they are till you see a mount or one in person.
