lol Vanek was our top goal scorer this year and we traded him for a conditional third round draft pick and some scrub AHL player. The 2017 draft class is nothing to build from so most of these draft picks are a waste, especially with Vegas jumping in the mix. I love the fact that people hate the wings and our fans, just will make it 10 times better when we come back in three years and start our streak over again.

Ugh tough loss 0-1. I do not understand the coach game plan. When we are in the attacking zone, he uses three guys the blue-line, two forwards in the corners, then they alternate who is in front of the net. I don't know why he keeps doing that, it does not work. So frustrating. I've never seen that done anywhere before, and obviously we know why. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The guys in the corner alternate who is in front of net? that is odd... you would think they would just do the standard four corners with the center floating around looking for tips and rebounds. I remember one tournament where my team got blown out in the first game 8-2. We ended up winning the rest of our games and met the same team that whopped us in the first game for the finals. We ended up winning that game and taking home the trophy for the tournament, man I miss organized hockey.
Yeah I'm not sure what the guys thinking. You're exactly right no one is in front of the net. The guys are going to the corner, and winning the one on one battles, but there's no one in front of the net to pass it to. Apparently he's trying to reinvent the wheel. Well my team ended up winning our beer league and I scored which is always a plus. On a sad note, the streak is officially over at 25 years and the Wings are out of the playoffs, time for a new start in a new arena!
I saw the peta people wanted the octopus throwing to stop, I don't think they realize that live octopus are not being thrown out, and on the other hand I doubt most of the octopus throwers even know why it is an octopus is being thrown out there.
