    How hard to understand that a Canadian franchise has not won the cup in 25 years, players that play in cities with a franchise may not be from that city, pretty universally known.

    Canada has steadily grown more socialist over the last 15 years. Most Canadian teams can't afford to keep the best players or hire the best coaches. The best talent will go where the most money is available. That is in America.
