This thing is so long it doesn't fit in the fanny pack besides being heavy. I'd like to come up with a way to carry it on your side or something. A pouch or sheath of some type would be nice. Any idears?

5 ft or 10 ft Hooyman?

I mostly use mine ahead of hunts when getting tree stand sights ready.

I carry mine in either my backpack, fannypack, or I I don't use either of those, I shove it under my net on the LW that holds my sticks to the stand. Then, I unhinge one of the connecting pivot connectors, place a safety harnass strap in it, and re connect the pivot point so that the strap is sandwiched between the saw pivot connectors.

My 5 footer fits into my pack just fine.

Hooyman does make a carrying case for the 5 foot saws though. It straps onto your pack, waist, stand, etc.

Do you carry it Justin? Sounds like what I'm looking for.
    Cooter, it's the 5'.
HC, that might be what I end up doing but with different stands the sheath might be the answer.

I have a Cottonwoods Replacement Seat on my climber. It has a mesh dual water bottle holder on the back of the seat. My 5'er fits perfectly in the pouch designed for the water bottles.

I have carried mine into the woods for set-ups and it fits into my pack just fine.
