Just a heads-up, the handgun ban was overturned years ago. We actually have concealed carry now (a miracle, I know). If it wasn't for the gang wars, I bet the gun crime rate would be down, but that's another topic.

I think the difference is most mass shootings are carried out on innocent people who are going about their business as unarmed soft targets. Most of us can relate to this or can envision our family or friends in that situation and as potential victims. Your every day gang banger related homicides while tragic simply don't muster those kinds of feelings in most people. Bad drug deals and gang related payback doesn't move white bread America the same way. JMO

I totally agree with Trump on suspending immigrants from hot beds of extremists... That's not going to stop those that are already here. It would help if the FBI was a bit more careful with those that are on "the radar". If you're on their radar, and have been questioned, there should be no way in hell to pass a background check and buy a firearm......
Terror attack, radical Muslim, and terrorism does not fit the liberal narrative in this election year. Obama is looking for his 3 rd term in Clinton. They are going to tout the fact osama was killed under Obama and clintons watch. The troops were pulled out of Iraq and Afghanistan under Obama and Clinton watch. They want you to think they are the winning team, but in reality the world is on fire and they are Feeding you this gun control crap to distract from the real issue and further their own agenda.

It doesn't matter if it's crazies in Colorado or a radicalized Muslim in CA, my hometown of chattanooga or Florida. When you have people with mental health issues this is only going to get worse, they can use whatever religion they want , try to ban whatever guns they want or put people on any list they want. Someone wanting to do evil will do just that unless there are people out there who carry and can protect the rest of us. The mental health thing needs to be looked at seriously to get these crazies some help and it needs to not be such a media frenzy because there is some guy who's never been. in trouble before sitting in his parents basement right now wondering if when he flips out he can take out more than 50 people so he can have a better "score" than the guy in Florida. I don't know the answer besides the S&W m&p 9mm that I keep with me at all times for just such an event.

Osama was a paranoid old invalid who hadn't had any power in a decade. Bush effectively neutered him a long time ago. Obama probably figured he was doing Islam a service for making effective use of a washed up has been islamic failure. The problem is, there is no money to treat the mentally unstable. Whos gonna pay for it? Most hospitals will only medically clear them and then they get held for up to 48 hours till a state run facility has a room open up for a 3 days stay. Im going to keep saying it for the rest of my life...there IS NO CURE FOR EVIL. We need to spend out resources on the positives and stop trying to blame something for the negatives.
There was a facebook news story floating around a few weeks ago about Hitler escaping to South America and the US Government knowing about/assisting him. Anything is possible.
And when the reason for the FBI looking at a person turns out to be false they should still never be able to buy a gun?
