Does anyone know where, or how I apply to be a Moderator here? Do the moderators just get picked, or do you have to apply? Are there any requirements, etc?
In the greatest move in internet hunting site history, BH.com went against the grain and kept the moderating corps. to the bare minimum (nearly non-existant). And, in the history of BH.com, I don't know of anyone (outside a spammer or 12) who's been banned, censored or otherwise. The internet forefathers (Al and his ilk) would be proud. Your plea may gain momentum, though. How much land ya got? And,.....where is it? Got gamecam pics?
<.< >.> To GMMAT: I have 88 acres, It's in carrol county Ohio, and I thought I had game pics. Apparently the thing didn't go off. :@ Anyway, how does that have anything to do with moderating an internet forum? (P.S: Your right, this is the greatest Bowhunting, or just hunting site in history. I agree. :P)
LOL! I remember you looking at me in the 5th wheel and saying, "I'm a moderator?" :D The only reason the powers that be made us few "Pro Staff" guys moderators was because they were having a problem controlling some spammers. Other than banning a few Russian chicks, its not that glorious. Its a good bunch of guys and gals here that keep it pretty clean themselves. Hopefully it stays that way and there isn't a need for us to do any moderating at all.
What he said! The current Moderators are our Pro-Staffers who happen to be guys who frequent the form. Since I can't be on all the time, and we do have an occasional spam issue, they have powers to help out when the need arises. And they update the scorecard in the contest threads so I don't get yelled at for not doing it. :D Until the site gets a lot bigger or we start having a lot of problems, we don't really have the need for any more Mods.
You will receive an anonymous letter in the mail. Open it and follow the instructions to a "T". If you complete the task you will become a moderator.
