Last year I bought a Renzo Buck decoy, and I can't seem to get the smell of plastic off the decoy. I like the decoy a lot, it folds up really nice and weighs nothing! But I have tried spraying it, letting it sit outside... I can't seem to kill the scent. Any ideas on how to eliminate this scent?

    Thank in advance.

Have u tried setting it out in a small tent or similar confined space and running a ozone generator on it for a day or two?

Thanks guys! I'll give both of these a try! I have not heard of an ozone generator, I'll have to do a little homework. much appreciated!

When my mucks were new they stunk like manufactured rubber. I scrubbed them down with a baking soda/water mixture and left em outside for a few days. It worked well. After that I just used dead down wind spray before hunts. It'd be tedious on something as large as a decoy, but it might work

What i do with new items with plastic or rubber i tend to scrub them with a scent killer laundry detergent then i get a garbage bag and store them in there with lots of pine limbs. when i pull my hunting clothes or my blind chair out it is full of the pine smell and it works good for me.

I'd just store it outside out of the sunlight for a while.
