So I have some video from my camera that is in .Mov format. I am used to using windows movie maker. How can I get the movie into a format that will work typically .avi format ? I tried Google and all the stuff that I found are paid editing programs that are way more than I need.

    Any suggestions?

download youtube downloader. It will convert almost anything to AVI or whatever format you want.

Any one in particular you recommend? I googled it and there is about a million of them.

Also how much quality do you lose in this process?

I just use the basic and it seems to work good for me.

Not sure how well it works but it seems pretty straight forward if your not wanting to download a program.
