So I got the parents blessings tonight to ask their daughter to marry me! Now I need to figure how I would like to pop the question.

I know it's a totally and completely personal question, but I am looking for stories on how you guys asked your wives/fiances. We are both outdoorsy and she has just recently taken up archery, I would possibly like to include this? Thanks everybody!

She got me drunk in Las Vegas.... The rest is history.

Good luck with the proposal, hope it works out for you.

BTW, I was just joking about the getting drunk in Vegas part. We did get married there though, was a blast. I would suggest going there.

She thought we were going to Vegas for just a vacation. Instead I bought an all inclusive trip to cancun. She didn't know until we were in the line at check in and she asked me why we were in the wrong line. I proposed to her on a beach there after a great night out.

I asked her if she wanted to go look for an engagement ring. Next thing I knew I was married.

Engagement ring in a Cracker Jack box. She knew it was coming so I had to figure a way to make it a bit of a surprise.

My wife had the nerve to ask me, "Are you kidding me right now?" when I proposed. Like I'm one to joke.

I took my wife back to where we had our first date. Nothing too fancy, worked though and 18 years later I still look forward to waking up next to her every day.

I picked her up from work, blindfolded her, then drove to her a secluded field on my parent's property. When I removed the blindfold, she saw a candlelit dinner of all of her favorite things (steak, macaroni, mashed potatoes, and of course, chocolate cake). I had hot chocolate under the table, and when I went down to get it, I told her that I wanted to marry her in this field, then presented her the ring.

We got married in that field a year later.

We went for a walk in my woods, I took her to my favorite hunting spot. Showed her the tree I shot my first buck out of, and in front if that tree I asked her to marry me, she said yes to my suprise:)

We need an emoticon with two limp wrists for that. One limp wrist... just not enough.

I was in the hospital and my girlfriend knew I thought hospital food was the worst, so she was bringing me 3 squares a day to eat. A nurse had mentioned (on numerous ocassions) that if I let that one get away I wsa stupid on top of sick. I had the nurse go to the post exchange and pick out an engagement ring for me and the next day when breakfast was served, I crawled out of bed, got on one knee and proposed. All the nurses on the ward started applauding and the wife accepted.
