I live in ohio and all the bucks on our farm have shed antlers as of about February. I checked my cam today and I have a picture of a buck still carrying a rack. This is only my second year hunting so im still new. Just wondering if it was common. uploadfromtaptalk1398808948411.jpg

It's uncommon but also not unheard of. Read some cases where does with antlers didn't shed velvet or antlers and cases of bucks with injuries to their sexual organs either didn't shed velvet and/or their antlers. If there's a one in ten million chance then across the nation that's still a lot of chance to see something similar.

I've seen them hold this late in the year, not many times but I have seen it...He will probably shed, just running a little late.

There are always a few who keep their antlers late into April and may.

Never seen it before, Maybe the light mass of his antlers is making it tough to drop!?!?
