I guess my question is pretty simple, how big should a buck be to use BBD? It seems like alot of pics and texts I see use BBD. In my opinion it should be a special buck to use that, not for every buck that gets shot. What is your opinion?

A "BBD" title fits, if it is a good buck in the eyes of the hunter.

I think it's over used period and to answer the question at hand, it's an individual thing. Who are we to tell someone else what they can and cannot say on or about their own particular buck.

I send a BBD text every time I shoot a buck. Know why? Because I don't shoot a buck unless I think it is Big. After all it isn't Personal Best Buck Down. World Record Buck Down. Huge Buck Down. It is a simple Big Buck Down, and that definitely isn't a title that makes me think of a huge buck or anything, just think of "big" for the area the guy is hunting.

Ehhhh, I don't know about this......I've opened some BBD threads and was disappointed. That's not to say I wasn't sincere when I congratulated the poster on their success. Anything that qualified for P&Y maybe should get the BBD title. I didn't use it in my last kill post cause I didn't consider it worthy of the title even though several people said it was a monster in their area. I guess I need to think about it some more. lol!

It doesn't matter. Big is relative to the hunter and his/her's opinions and circumstances. The term "big" is open ended and subjective for a reason. Let's not rush to label what can or cannot be classified as big.

I think Tembry summed it up fine.

Monster Raxx and others who think BBD should equal a P and Y buck....would you still think the same thing if you lived in south Florida? A "big" largemouth bass in Maine is much different than a big largemouth bass in Florida, and the same goes for deer antlers.

Does P&Y care where it's shot? Keep talking, I said I was some what undecided. I am not afraid to admit when I am wrong.

    Bottle of Beer Down?? What??

Really I am in agreance with VS. Here in NC 120" to me would be BBD. In WI it may be 150"+ Thats a big difference but, to us 120" maybe even smaller is BBD.

I have never texted any one BBD and I dont have a problem with any one shooting any buck they want to. I only asked this because it seems to me that it just gets used too much.
