Music plays a huge role in my life. It changes my mood, inspires me, expresses my feelings and reminds me of past times or puts future things into perspective.
I, too, have music in my soul. I wish I hadn't been such a rebellious lad and actually took all those band lessons to heart when I was a kid. I am a music nut. Actually, probably a music snob. I am totally a singer-songwriter type fan. To me, my love for music (not ALL music but my genres) comes very close to that feeling of wholeness I find in the outdoors
I absolutely love music but find myself in the mornings and commutes loving quiet or at most talk radio of some kind. I will say though that the music scene controls and dictates a lot onto our youthful generations....and mainstream music industry doesn't necessarily do a "great" job of teaching good attributes.
Klove or christian music is all i listen to use to listen to country back in the day when it was still country....not much on this new style junk they call country music
When I was younger I was into everything from Gangster Rap to Viking Metal, Now I have toned it down to Classic Rock and Country which I use to hate. Nothing better than tapping or humming along to your favorite tune!
With my hearing even the high end stereos sound like an old Victrola. If my radio in the car quit working I'd notice it next year maybe. My wife like music but seldom turns it on while I am around because with that as background noise I can't understand a word she says. She claims it is selective hearing.
I have zero musical abilities. I tried playing trumpet for about a week in 5th grade and it was not for me. I like music back in the day of tape decks I had a satchel full of tapes in the car. I was told looking in that case to grab a tape made one think I had multiple personalities because of what was in there. From Frank Sinatra to Ice T with Pastsy Klien to Chris Issac, Sting, and Dwight Yokam thrown in. I don't buy or download music anymore, I am a terrible singer and I can not dance. I am not creative enough to even doodle on a piece of paper.
Music is a big part of my life. It is rare that a day goes by without me playing the guitar and singing. Its a great escape for me. I do a few gigs and really enjoy it. I hope to do more live music as life slows down. I think it would be a lot of fun to do a gig or two every week when retired.
I have the radio all day at work one day my boss thought he would be funny and take the radio I punched out and started to drive away he never touched my radio again
I am using my wife's hairbrush as my mic... Shirt off. In front of mirror. Flexing to Jawga Boys "All the girls want to ride with me" remix this very second. Probably be doing this the rest of the day into the midnight hours. Probably change to Charlie Farley "Jacked up" and get my swool & swole on then.
