I am already thinking of opening day 2010. It will be my best season ever.( I say that every season) :)

I am really very excited to take my children bass fishing this spring. I want the both of them to lock into a nice 3-4 pound bass in our canoe. I will probably die laughing if I see them struggling and getting flustered as they try to reel in an old mean largemouth. lol. My kids love to walk through the woods, find a nice clean creek, fish it, then swim in it.

It's hitting me hard. This will be my second year of hunting coming up and am already getting everything planned out for our 2 week elk hunting trip for opening day of september. I have also walked my white tail deer land about 6 or 7 times already looking for sheds and deer signs. I also am working on getting some people together to head out to my mule deer land which is about 1.5 hours away to do some scouting there aswell. I'm constantly browsing the net for new things to add to my hunting collection. Looking for a project to maybe get a golf cart and lift it to get in and out of hunting areas. Either that or buy another dirtbike that isn't so loud to get me to my elk hunting spots. Also looking for maybe a gps and a few other little gimicks to give me as much help as possible. There are sooo many options and things to look at once you get into it and addicted to it. It also doesn't help that I am a horrible shopper.

I've been full throttle since the early 80s when I stumbled across my first big whitetail buck.

I've got It bad. Specially with black bears, I think about them allot! This last deer season really got my blood pumping though with whitetails again. Every day I think about what I should've had last year. :( I can tell you this much not a day goes by on my motives for this year chasing a particular buck.

Well yes I think about it pert near everyday, just trying to improve and learn more. I still get a thrill out of every deer sighting, be it November or March. I often stare at my mounts or play with the old horns. I'm in the process of planning a hunting room in the basement.

But like others this year I'm also very pumped about fishing. Got me a nice little boat and motor and I'm anxious to get it set-up. I'm organizing tackle and bought a couple new rods and reels.

I'm still looking for a nice cheaper trolling motor to go with my 6hp outboard. It's gonna be a lot of fun on smaller lakes The lake in the Public Grounds I hunt is Electric motors only. So it may be a scouting tool also :)

I love to shed hunt, but I'm not the greatest shed hunter because I'm often studying terrain, picturing how deer use it and looking for THE tree. I also love to hunt turkeys, mushrooms and fish...but while I'm doing these things I'm probably thinking about deer season! I've got it bad, and I wouldn't have it any other way!
