That's an ambitious but probably doable project. Good luck.

The crimson clover is an annual while the ladino is a perennial. Turkeys love the crimson clover, deer hit it but it seemed to me like they preferred the ladino. It was kind of hard to tell what they preferred, there has also been winter rye, winter barley and winter pea right next to both clovers. Every time I drove over there though over winter, deer seemed to be in the winter rye and pea field by the bunches.

Beans are in. 2 weeks ill spray them and then about a month after that spray again. There is about 3 acres done with an atv, Mossy Oak Tufline disk and a small pull behind spreader.

There is 3 areas for turnups that will be planted August 1st.

So what kind of a hook up do you have for your bush hog behind the Cadi?

I was able to get my soybeans in between the rain storms on Wednesday. I didn't get any final product pictures because it was starting to rain pretty good by the time I finished cultipacking them in. Here's a couple pics after the first pass with the tiller. This year was a bit of a reclamation project. I wasn't able to plant last season so the field was overgrown with some really nasty weeds. I didn't get a chance to burn it off so I ended up just cultipacking the weeds down, and disking over them to break them up. Then I came through with the tiller. Tilled it again a few days later, broadcasted the beans and cultipacked it.

Here's a couple pics of a clover plot I replanted last fall. Need to spray it, but the clover is looking really nice.

    Don't think I haven't thunk of it.

The awd does go through the sugar sand easy.
It was just really cool to be able to mow and drive in this slough.
Going to disc some of it for food plots next time out.

I'll find out when the acorns start dropping . Have had zero time to work on plots this year and prob won't have any free time soon. Work, eat, kids activities, sleep, repeat.

The water has gone down in the bottoms and dried off enough to work the ground.
Got the clover planted, going to plant the soybeans tomorrow.

I'm going to be planting some apple trees in Renville County this weekend for the first time. I don't think it's too far from you. Do you have any recommendations on types of apple trees? My dad wants apple trees that are tasty for human consumption and I want them to bring the deer in. Hopefully there's one that'll do both?

    SWEET looking clover plot.

Fields are still so wet up here that I am in 4WD with my SXS going around them and haven't dared to move a tractor across them yet.
