How is everyone doing in these tough times. Any cutbacks on hunting, hunting stuff or other things? My brother and I have a car dealership (used). We've been around for about 19 yrs. but 2008 was the worst ever. I am not expecting much different for 2009 just hope it does not get worse. Definately not spending on hunting gear. Camo is fading and Savannah suit needs replacing but I guess in the trees with the skyline behind (above) me especially in oak trees or hardwoods faded camo will be ok. Cutting way back on eating out also. Gas prices came down during season so I did not have to cut back on number of times out. I hope all of you are doing well and good luck to you in the times ahead.
I'm doing just fine, haven't changed my lifestyle one bit. Actually looking to buy a new truck at the moment. You got a 2009 4x4 Toyota Tacoman Quadcab you want to sell me at a good price?
I thought you already have one, or you said you had one in the driveables post. Anyways, I'm not doing too bad. In fact, we just took advantage of the current housing situation and purchased our first home. I feel very fortunate.
I guess y'all caught me At the time I posted that, I had all but signed the papers on that truck, but...it kinda fell through. So I'm still looking.
They're 6 speeds right? That is if you choose a straight... My cousin has one, Super sweet truck.. I thought I had a pic of it, but I don't... his is Lifted, rims, tires, whole nine. It was for sell, but I think he changed his mind.
6spd manual, 5spd auto. V6 and I4 are available in manual. I4 is a 4speed auto or 5spd manual. I'm going to get around to lifting mine...someday:D
Sorry but we deal in older pre-owned, mostly 2004 and older. It is good to hear people not being hit with the current situation. You guys keep spending to help this economy get back going again:d Good luck to everyone.
Tough times are here no doubt! I was planning on doing a ND hunt this year but the more I think about It the more I think I'll have to push It off another year. It really bothers me too, I was really looking forward to this hunt! Sorry Todd!!
Gas prices dropping really helped me out, since my work commute is a healthy one, about 40 miles each way. Other than that my wife and pretty much try to do everything ourselves. We just finished up an extra bathroom in the house all D.I.Y. I definately dont have a lot of extra cash to throw around but we are weathering the storm. We both teach school and do fine. We are not rich by any means but make a comfortable living for were we live. We own and drive used cars and try not to have any loans except for our mortgage. We just bought all of our seeds for our 2009 garden and still have a lot of elk and whitetail in the freezer. We are getting into canning foods a lot more these days too. God is good. p.s. we did cut back on the UFC fights this winter
We've been pretty fortunate that nothing has really changed. Both our jobs should be rather stable. I kind of lucked out with my old company being bought a year or so back, because our old line of work is suffering pretty bad.
My girlfriend has been laid off since October. (Bank Manager) I'm not gonna lie, it was nice durring the archery season do to the fact that I could hunt every day with no worries of having to pick the kid up from daycare but, lately paying all the bills on one paycheck sure is a drag! I still get out in the field but not as far from home.
I'm lucky, I have a govt. job working for a fire dept. So I don't have too much to worry about. Wolf pack, I might be looking for a used truck in the future. I buy a lot of my vehicles from down south, because everything up here rusts, even on the showroom floor. PM me, & I'll give you some ideas.
