Had a good time today up on Erie. My brother Jason, my buddy Chuck and I landed 40+ smallmouth for the day. Some nice ones as well.

Nice! I love smallie fishing. Pound for pound, and I love it when they dance!

I caught most of them on Super Tubes (A huge tube) in Mellon Pepper from Ohio Pro Lure. I also got some on Super Flukes (the 7 inch version) in White from Zoom.

Looks like a great time Scott!

We caught about a dozen last week when we were pike fishing in the river. Big females. Right after the spawn in mid/late June we'll catch a ton of them on topwater. I love to twitch a jointed Rapala.

Dude, a visor? Are you serious Scott? The BowTech emblem helps but geez dude, I think you may loose your man card after that one!

Nice fish, I love smallmouth fishing, I am more of a stream guy though, nothing tops using a 5'6" UL rod with 4lb test and casting a Manns Hardnose frog across a nice pool in a stream and having a 20" smallie smack it!

On a sidenote, I havn't been to Erie in awhile, I am planning on hitting up the area for some steelhead this late fall.

Spend 8-10 hours on the lake with when it's hot with a hat on and then do the same with a visor on... You would pick the visor every time too :d

I do a bit of stream / river fishing for smallies as well. Not near as much as when I was younger though. Although I use a 1 piece 6'-6" ultralight with 6 pound test for river / stream duty.

If you hit up any streams for smallies this year, trying picking up a pack of Manns Hardnose frogs (white). I found those things last year and landed so many bass of them, they are also good for northern pike.

Nice fish. I gotta try out Erie some time, even though I too am more of a stream/river smallie chaser.

Looks like a boatload of fun, and some monster smallies too. They don't get that big in the little streams around here.

    Hey, when am I invited?
